Andalucia is the most incredibly diverse region
encompassing the historic cities of Seville, Ronda, Malaga,
Cordoba and Granada, the famous whitewashed villages, and
mile after mile of beautiful beaches, rural inland countryside
and international resorts.
Beautiful and fierce, seductive and pagan, Andalucia is to
many the typical Spain of the travel posters, yet in reality
it is a world unto itself, with as many delights to offer
as you have days to spend there. Whatever you're planning
a visit here for the first time or the thirty - first, Andalucia,
with its incredible Moorish legacy, its vast mountains, parched
plains, superb cities, magical villages and beautiful beaches
cannot help but thrill you.
RioGordo village, 30 minutes' drive inland from Malaga city/airport
on the way to Cordoba/Granada and some of the most spectacular
beaches are surrounded by beautiful countryside of rolling
hills and farmland, offering spectacular views over the Sierra
down to the sea.
It is an area dedicated to olive and almond farming, also
orange and lemon orchards and vineyards, a wonderful location
for enjoying walking and picnics.
Historic towns and cities, such as Antequera,
Nerja, Malaga and Granada are all close, offering spectacular
architecture and a diverse range of activities, from Skiing
in the Sierra Nevada to sun bathing on the beautiful beaches
of Costa del Sol.
If you are thinking of living here, this unspoilt
region of Spain offers far better value for money than equivalent
properties on the coast, with the added bonus of natural hospitality
of the people, white washed walls and colourful streets in
the villages of Andalucia, tranquillity abounds.
