Villamartin
Villa Martin is probably one of the best-known
Golf Courses in the Southern Costa Blanca. Luxurious villas
and apartments surround an immaculately landscaped 18-hole
golf course with panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Designed
by David Putnum, the 6,312 metre course is a delightful blend
of ornamental trees and flowering shrubs; lush fairways and
velvet greens, blue sky and blue water.
The golfer does not need to restrict themselves
because there are 2 other Courses near by such as Las Ramblas
and Campoamor.
Villamartin has an international community,
living permanently in Spain or simple visiting for the Golf
Season. Not all inhabitants of Villamartin are golf fanatics,
but one can simple enjoy gazing over the splendid green areas.
A short flight from Gatwick and players can
take advantage of the low-cost fares available in winter and
early spring. Little wonder players keep returning to one
of the most popular spots for golf in Spain. Villamartin lays
approximately 3km from the sea and 10km south of Torrevieja.
The journey to Alicante Airport takes about 40 minutes.
 Golf
is not the only sport by any means. At Villamartin there are
swimming pools, tennis courts with tennis coaching, a gymnasium
and sauna and nearby, riding stables.
The splendid beaches of La Zenia, Campoamor
, and Cabo Roig are all approximately 5 minutes from Villamartin.
Along the coast are many clean sandy beaches, water-sports
enthusiasts, can choose from sailing and windsurfing, to deep-sea
fishing and scuba diving.
For a leisurely night-out without leaving the
complex, Villamartin's open-air piazza offers a lively cosmopolitan-mix
of bars and restaurants, shops and nightclubs, in a tropical
setting beneath the Aparthotel.
You can sit in the piazza by the fountain,
palm trees and exotic flowers, or take a table on the gallery
above. Safety and security have not been overlooked either.
Villamartin has its own 24-hour security service
with guards patrolling the complex, a private medical clinic,
banking facilities on the complex and its own access road
and under-pass leading directly onto La Zenia Beach.
