The Mar Menor is a natural lagoon separated
from the Mediterranean by the La Manga strip with high water
temperature providing excellent conditions for all types of
water sports. Children can splash safely in the shallow waters
or play on the splendid sandy beaches.
In the countryside of La Manga you are able
to change from the beaches of the Mediterranean to the beaches
of the lagoon easily on foot.
The luxurious La Manga Club offers plenty of
golf having 45 holes and for the evening a casino inside the
amazing Hyatt Hotel. The mud baths in Mar Menor are very well
known due to its healing affects and during the summer is
extremely popular with the Spanish. San Javier itself has
a small international airport, which serves directly from
London, Birmingham and Manchester.
You can reach the lively province of Murcia
and the historical port of Cartagena in approximately 30 minutes.
